When the Mayor is making
decisions alone or in consultation with an individual cabinet
member or mayoral adviser, he will make these decisions
at meetings known as mayoral
proceedings. These are held fortnightly at the Town
Hall, East Ham, generally on Thursday morning. The Mayor
has decided that the public are welcome to attend these
meetings. See the Calendar
for dates of meetings.
The agenda and reports are
published 5 clear days before the meeting and are available
on the Council website (See agendas
and minutes) or at libraries, service centres and council
offices or contact Kathy
Howard on 020 8430 3317.
The decisions are also published,
usually between 2 and 5 days of the meeting, although implementation
is usually delayed for a further five days to allow for
call-in.
See agendas
and minutes if you want to know what is being discussed
at a particular meeting.
Occasionally the Mayor
has to make decisions which need to be made in private.
These include matters involving identifiable individuals
including Council employees, commercially sensitive information
and legal advice given in confidence.
